While Turley Wine Cellars is best known for their heritage Zinfandel and Petite Syrah, they also produce a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon from organically farmed vineyards in Napa Valley. This bottling reflects a classic, structured expression of Napa Cabernet, grown on the rocky, low-yielding soils surrounding the winery in St. Helena.

FARMING: Certified Organic
VARIETY: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
TERROIR: Sourced from estate vineyards in St. Helena and other Napa Valley parcels. Soils are composed of gravel, loam, and volcanic ash with excellent drainage. Moderate elevation and warm days balanced by cool nights allow for slow, even ripening.
VINIFICATION: Grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed, and fermented with native yeasts in open-top fermenters. Gentle extraction methods preserve fruit purity and structure.
AGING: Aged in French oak barrels (a mix of new and neutral) for approximately 18 months before bottling.
TASTING NOTES: Deep and structured, with aromas of cassis, black cherry, cedar, and graphite. The palate is full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins and notes of dark plum, crushed stone, cocoa, and sweet tobacco on the finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, aged cheddar, mushroom polenta, or rosemary lamb chops
