Historic estate dating to 1051 when St. Giovanni Gualberto founded the Vallumbrosan Order abbey in Gaiole in Chianti. Archaeological evidence reveals winemaking on the property since the first century A.D. The Stucchi Prinetti family has owned the estate since 1846, currently led by fifth-generation siblings Emanuela, Paolo, and Roberto. The estate comprises 150 acres of vineyards and 50 acres of olive trees. "Cultusboni" is the family's négociant line, with the name sharing the same Latin meaning as "Coltibuono"—"good harvest." The "R S" designation represents Roberto Stucchi's initials, created to showcase a contemporary style of Chianti Classico.

- VINIFICATION: Fermentation on skins for several days using indigenous yeasts in smaller vessels of both wood and stainless steel. State-of-the-art gravity-flow winery designed for minimal environmental impact uses gentle handling techniques.
- AGING: Brief aging in large oak casks and used oak barrels (not new oak).
