WINEMAKER: Lucas Pichler
FARMING: Practicing Organic
VARIETY: 100% Grüner Veltliner
TERROIR: Sourced from the Ried Steinertal vineyard, located at the eastern end of the Wachau between Loibenberg and Pfaffenberg. This site features lime-free, acidic Gföhler gneiss soils and benefits from cool nocturnal breezes, contributing to a slow ripening process and pronounced minerality.
VINIFICATION: Hand-harvested grapes; fermented using native yeasts in stainless steel tanks to preserve varietal purity.
AGING: Aged in stainless steel tanks to maintain freshness and enhance complexity.
TASTING NOTES: Pale yellow-green with silver reflections. Aromas of yellow apple, orange zest, fresh herbs, and tobacco nuances. The palate is sleek and elegant, with impressive depth of flavor, crisp acidity, and salty minerality leading to a lively finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Ideal with pork, vegetarian dishes, lean fish, and mild cheeses.
