Pichler-Krutzler is a partnership between Elisabeth Pichler (daughter of legendary winemaker F.X. Pichler) and her husband Erich Krutzler. Since founding the winery in 2007, the duo has focused on crafting precise, mineral-driven wines from some of the Wachau’s top sites, with a philosophy rooted in low intervention and transparency of terroir.

TERROIR: Sourced from multiple parcels in Loiben, a sub-zone in the eastern Wachau known for its varied geology. These vineyards sit on a mix of gneiss, granite, and weathered rock.

VINIFICATION: Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks.

AGING: Aged on fine lees in stainless steel with no oak influence to maintain focus and linearity.

TASTING NOTES: The 2023 'Loiben' Riesling is energetic and tensile, with notes of lime zest, green apple, white blossoms, and crushed stone. It finishes with mouthwatering acidity and a saline lift.
