- Winemaker: Hugh Chappelle
- Varieties: Zinfandel
- Farming: Certified Organic with Biodynamic practices
- Terroir: Rocky alluvial soil on a high bench separating Dry Creek Valley from Alexander Valley. Located on Lytton Springs Road amongst the most revered Zinfandel in Dry Creek Valley
- Vinification/Aging: Hand-harvested (going over vineyards five times to pick clusters of optimal ripeness), utilizing open-top fermenters, cool soaking, punching down by hand daily, and basket pressing to fully express the terroir. Aging through malolactic is in smaller 59-70 gallon barrels then moving to 500L puncheons and French oak foudres for optimum retention of freshness and delicate aromatics.
- Aging: 5 months total; first 8 months in French oak barrels (20% new), remaining 7 months in 500L French oak foudres
- Scores: 91 Points, Wine Spectator. A zesty and well-built red, with lively black cherry, mint and smoked pepper flavors that finish with appealingly briary tannins. Drink now through 2027. 406 cases made. - May, 2021, Tim Fish
