In the rolling hills of the Coteaux du Loir, Domaine Dhomme has quietly built a reputation for expressive, terroir-driven wines made with respect for nature and local tradition. The estate farms organically and works entirely by hand, producing elegant, energetic bottlings that highlight the unique personality of the Loire’s native varieties. ‘Les Cottereaux’ is a pure Pineau d’Aunis—one of the region’s most distinctive red grapes—offering peppery aromatics, lifted fruit, and remarkable finesse.

- TERROIR: From estate vineyards in the Coteaux du Loir, where vines grow on a mix of flinty clay and limestone soils. The northern Loire’s cool climate and stony subsoils lend natural acidity, subtle spice, and fine tannins to this heritage variety.
- VINIFICATION: Grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed, then fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel to preserve freshness and aromatic purity. Gentle maceration highlights the variety’s signature peppery character without excessive extraction.
- AGING: Aged briefly in stainless steel and neutral oak to integrate texture while maintaining vibrancy. Bottled unfiltered with minimal sulfur.
- TASTING NOTES: Pale ruby in color with delicate aromas of red currant, wild strawberry, and cracked white pepper. The palate is light-bodied yet structured, with silky tannins, bright acidity, and a lingering finish of spice and minerality. A beautifully pure expression of Pineau d’Aunis.
