J-M Sélèque, located in the Coteaux Sud dÉpernay, is run by Jean-Marc Sélèque, who took over the family domaine in 2008. The estate focuses on terroir-driven Champagnes, and since Jean-Marcs leadership, the vineyards have been cultivated without herbicides.
Winemaker: Jean-Marc Sélèque
Farming: Sustainable, no herbicides used
Variety: 45% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Meunier, 15% Pinot Noir
Terroir: Sourced from seven villages, including Pierry and Moussy, with soils rich in chalk and flint
Vinification: Fermented in a combination of stainless steel and oak barrels. The wine undergoes full malolactic fermentation, with some of the blend aged in a perpetual reserve system, and a dosage of 2g/L
