FANGST means catch in Danish and Norwegian, and is the name of our small company. We are rooted in Scandinavia and dedicated to the evolvement of Nordic food culture. This involves re-discovering and re-thinking foods and cooking methods we have forgotten or do not respect anymore.
Its remote location in the North Atlantic, clear waters, cool steady temperatures, strong currents and protected fjords make the Faroe Islands the perfect place for salmon. To this FANGST salmon we have added a sprinkle of verbena herb and crushed sea buckthorn - a berry that grows by the coasts of the North, and is known as the Nordic lemon.
