Birgit Eichinger has run her family estate in Straß im Straßertale since founding it in 1992, building it from the ground up to 16 hectares of prime Kamptal vineyards. A member of the Österreichische Traditionsweingüter (ÖTW), she farms prized single-vineyard sites including Heiligenstein, Gaisberg, Lamm, and Hasel, with Grüner Veltliner accounting for roughly 60% of production. Her philosophy — individuality over mainstream, progress over stagnation — yields wines of precision and strong varietal character. Her daughter Gloria has joined the estate, ensuring continuity of the family's approach.

- TERROIR: Ried Hasel, Straß im Straßertale, Kamptal DAC, Austria. A mid-altitude, south-facing single vineyard with deep loess soils — the classic substrate for Kamptal Grüner Veltliner. Cool continental climate with good day-night temperature variation. Yield: 30 hl/ha. Harvested September 21 at 18.7° KMW.
- VINIFICATION: Cool fermentation in stainless steel tank with attention to must purity prior to fermentation. 12.5% ABV; residual sugar 2.9 g/L; total acidity 5.9 g/L.
- AGING: Aged on full lees in stainless steel until bottling in March.
- TASTING NOTES: Spice and delicate linden blossom on the nose. Fine-boned and precise on the palate, with refreshing acidity, good aromatic lift, and a medium-bodied, easy-drinking character. Typical Kamptal expression.
