Bodega Bueyes is the labor of love of Jesús Bianchetti, whose family history in Mendoza viticulture spans generations. The name "Bueyes" honors the oxen—gentle giants that once tilled the land by hand—and pays tribute to the perseverance of his great-grandfather, grandfather, and father, who worked the vineyards before him. Located at the foot of the Andes in La Consulta, Uco Valley, Bueyes is rooted in legacy and carried forward with vision.
- WINEMAKER: Jesús Bianchetti
-
FARMING: Organic
- VARIETY: 93% Malbec, 7% Torrontés
- TERROIR: La Consulta, Uco Valley, Mendoza—high-elevation vineyards influenced by snowmelt-fed streams, well-draining sandy loam soils, and marked diurnal temperature shifts. These conditions preserve natural acidity and aromatics, especially in Malbec and Torrontés.
- VINIFICATION: Gentle pressing of the grapes to extract delicate color and aromatics; primary fermentation in stainless steel; secondary fermentation via Charmat method to retain freshness and fruit-forward character.
- AGING: Brief lees aging in tank before bottling for added texture and aromatic lift.
- TASTING NOTES: Aromas of fresh raspberry, grapefruit, lychee, and rose petal. The palate is dry, zesty, and bright, with crisp acidity, fine bubbles, and a refreshing finish laced with red berry and floral notes.
- FOOD PAIRINGS: Salmon tartare, grilled shrimp, watermelon salad with mint, or Patagonian empanadas.
