- TERROIR: Sonoma Mountain AVA, Sonoma County. Van der Kamp Vineyard at about 1,400 feet on the eastern slope. Loam, volcanic tuff and decomposed streambed soils.
- VINIFICATION: Traditional method. Direct-to-press fruit, cold fermentation at about 48°F (9°C), malolactic fermentation inhibited.
- AGING: 18 months in neutral oak, followed by three years on the lees before disgorgement.
- TASTING NOTES: Bright and floral, with crushed rose and fresh strawberry, then ripe peach and apricot. Lively acidity, subtle spice, and a textured mid-palate.
