ABOUT THIS WINE

Domaine Pillot Bourgogne Rouge, Burgundy, France 2022
A fresh and refined Pinot Noir from a family estate with six generations of winemaking history in the Côte Chalonnaise. This Bourgogne Rouge is crafted by Laurent and Romain Pillot from vines planted between 1960 and 2017 on classic clay-limestone soils, and aged in stainless steel to preserve fruit purity and elegance.

  • FARMING: Sustainable

  • VINIFICATION: Destemmed, fermented in concrete vats with 10–12 days of maceration, then aged 10 months in stainless steel

  • AGING: 10 months in stainless steel (no oak)

  • TASTING NOTES: Pale ruby in the glass with aromas of red berries, cherry, cedar, and light spice. The palate is bright and lifted, with fine acidity and soft red fruit on the finish.

  • PAIRING: Roasted chicken, grilled pork ribs, salmon, cheese boards, or red fruit tarts

  • SERVE: Slightly chilled in a Burgundy stem
