Founded by Gabriela Fernandez and Cinthya Cisneros, La Lucha is a sparkling wine rooted in cultura, comunidad, and collaboration. What began as a friendship between two Latina leaders—Gabriela, a wine and spirits professional and host of The Big Sip podcast, and Cinthya, the restaurateur behind La Cheve Bakery & Brews—evolved into a shared mission to create space, representation, and celebration within the wine world. Every bottle is both an homage and a call to action: a toast to those who came before, those fighting beside us, and those still dreaming ahead.
- WINEMAKERS / FOUNDERS: Gabriela Fernandez & Cinthya Cisneros
- FARMING: Sustainably farmed Chardonnay grapes sourced from Lodi AVA vineyards.
- VARIETY: 100% Chardonnay
- TERROIR: Grown in the Mediterranean climate of the Lodi AVA, where warm days and cool Delta breezes help preserve freshness and balance in the fruit.
- VINIFICATION: Crafted in the Charmat method, with secondary fermentation occurring in pressurized tanks to maintain bright fruit and fine bubbles. The focus is on preserving varietal purity and freshness while developing a creamy texture.
- AGING: Brief lees aging enhances texture and complexity before bottling under pressure for a lively, fruit-forward profile.
- TASTING NOTES: Aromas of pan dulce, vanilla, and flan lead into flavors of sweet lime (limas), crisp green apple, and a touch of creamy vanilla. The palate is bright, refreshing, and balanced with soft bubbles and a subtly creamy finish.
- FOOD PAIRINGS: Perfect with tacos al pastor, ceviche, elote, or Sunday brunch. Ideal for mimosas or simply enjoyed chilled on its own.
