Monica Raspis family has been growing grapes and making wine in the Senese region of Chianti for over 150 years. In 2007, when Monica's mother retired from running the family winery, Monica was confronted with the idea of the family estate being sold. She couldn't bear the thought, and instead sold her own successfully veterinary clinic and took over the family winery. Her first move was to convert the entire six-hectare property to organic farming. With the assistance of Ruggero Mazzilli, Villa Pomonas consulting agronomist and Filippo Paoletti, the consulting winemaker, Villa Pomona has become one of the areas top organic estates, producing powerful wines that are very classic in style.

- Aging: Aged in 20hl Slavonian oak barrels for 15 months. Aged in glass-lined cement tank for additional 9 months. Rests in bottle for six months before release
- Tasting Notes: This wine is structured, mouth-watering and sensually complex. Aromas of black sour cherries.
